THE GREAT TRANS-SIBERIAN JOURNEY
Y
THE MAGICAL ICE OF LAKE BAIKAL
Have you ever heard about the ice of Lake Baikal?
We'll tell you about it...
The Baikal Ice is one of the most beautiful and fascinating winter attractions in Russia. Baikal freezes only at the end of winter, at the beginning of February. It is when the ice sheet gets more than 70cm or more thick and the traffic through the ice opens up.

Frozen Baikal is incredibly beautiful. The ice becomes transparent like glass: even at a shallow depth, you can see the rocks at the bottom. You can go through the ice on hivus (a hovercraft that goes through the ice), on scooters or by bike, climb into the ice caves and grottoes and see how different the Baikal ice is with its cracks, bubbles and strange patterns.

And of course we will make the mythical Trans-Siberian journey by train from Moscow to Vladivostok

Map de our trip

We will do the whole tour on the train by
the longest railway in the world
What will we see during the trip?
  • Red Square and the Kremlin
It is one of the most famous and visited squares in the world. It has, approximately, 330 meters in length as well as 70 meters in width.
  • Moscow Metro
An underground labyrinth full of treasures. Huge marble walls display golden mosaics, sculptures of fallen leaders and painted scenes from Russian history under crystal chandeliers.
  • 10.000 km by trans-Siberian railway
We will pass through different cities and 7 time zones, we will contemplate the largest rivers in Eurasia, we will discover nature in its purest form in Siberia.
  • The place where the Russian tsars were killed
On the tour to Ganina Yama we will tell you about the family history of the last Russian tsar Nikolas Romanov in Ekaterinburg. How was his life and the terrible death.
  • Border between Europe and Asia
Differentiating continents separated by seas or oceans is very easy, but in the case of "European” Russia and "Asian” Russia... Can anyone tell me exactly where this division is taking place?
  • The ice of Lake Baikal
Lake Baikal, located in the heart of the vast Siberia, can be seen from satellites or simply by looking at a map as a huge blue eye.
  • More ice of Lake Baikal
It has some many forms that every picture will be breathtaking!
  • And more ice
Have you ever seen bubble ice? I this trip you will do it!
  • An excursion by hivus
Hivus - a hovercraft thta you have probably never tried
  • The Alekseevsky Bridge in Khabarovsk
The largest in all of Russia. Its length is 2.6 km, the total height is 60 meters.
It combines single-track railway (lower level) and two-lane automobile traffic (upper level).
  • The City of Vladivostok
Vladivostok is a city that seems distant and unexplored to many. Located at the other end of the world, the city attracts all lovers of the unknown.
  • And many more Russian peculiarities
Of course we will see much more things like the typical Russian cottages, nature, we get to know the people, we learn a few basic words or not :) we delve into the Russian culture, its customs, the life of its people.

How are the trains in Russia?

We will do almost the entire tour by train, in fact on different types of trains. Now we will tell you how the trains are in Russia and what classes there are
Platzkart - night train with bunk beds without compartments
The sleeper trains are specially designed for overnight or multi-day trips and have special sleeping berths.

The Platzkart wagon consists of 54 berths, arranged in sections of 4 on one side and 2 on the other, with an aisle between both sides. The side bunk beds are above and below the window. When the passenger is not sleeping, the lower side bunk transforms into a table and two seats. There are no individual spaces in the car. Bed linen is included in the ticket price.
Kupe - night train with a 4-berth compartment

This type of wagon consists of 9 separate quadruple compartments with four bunk beds (2 lower and 2 upper), a folding table and a sliding door. Among other amenities are personal reading lights, storage space (built-in shelves above the door, boxes under the lower bunks, shelves on the wall next to each bunk). Bed linen is included in the ticket.

Toilets in trains
Currently bathrooms are usually very clean. There are at least two toilets in each carriage.

Showers are usually arranged on long-distance trains (more than 24 hours), and only in kupe.

Is it cold inside trains in winter?

The temperature regime in the wagons is governed by sanitary standards according to which, in summer, the temperature in the wagon should be +22...+26°C, and in winter +20...+24°C. So you are not going to be cold!

Why travel with us?
  • You save your time
Planning a trip can be overwhelming and time consuming. From the definition of the itinerary and booking of hotels and transportation to the planning of activities and excursions. And even more so in a country like Russia because many things are only available in Russian.

And it's not just preparation time, but tb your time during the trip. By not knowing how everything works, how the traffic is moving, when there are traffic jams you can lose a lot of time and also get nervous that in the end will impact your impression of the trip.
    1
  • No problems with language
One of the main concerns of those who want to go to Russia is language. In addition, very few people speak English there and almost no one speaks Spanish, especially in the cities outside of Moscow and St. Petersburg.

So traveling with us you can not worry about it.
    2
  • Security
By this we mean tranquility during the trip. We know perfectly how everything is organized in the country and with this you will avoid the typical problems with taxi drivers, hotels, transport, change of plans due to weather conditions or other unforeseen situations. You will have 24x7 support throughout the trip.
    3
  • Good company
If you do not feel like traveling alone or, you are looking for new friends or, you just think that traveling with more people means more fun, traveling in a group is the ideal type of trip for you. What you have to know is that many times people who choose the same trip as you, think similar to you and the probability that you will get along is very great.

This type of trips is also perfect for singles and for those who are tired of trying to harmonize their travel calendars with those of friends and in the end always stay at home.
    4
  • Optimal itinerary
Organizing a trans-Siberian trip is not an easy task even for Russians - choosing the iconic places, the most important activities, coordinating all this with the train schedule, etc.

So join our group and make sure to visit the emblematic sites of the country and eliminate the fear of missing out on something relevant.
    5
  • English-speaking guides
You will have a English-speaking guides of Russian origin. They knows the country perfectly and how everything works there. He can give you good advice or help with unforeseen situations that always come up during trips.

This is also one of the biggest attractions for those who choose this type of itinerary, since traveling with a local guide guarantees you to get to know a place in depth thanks to the small anecdotes that he himself will share with you.
    6
  • More value for your money
It is not always more economical to organize it on your own. In general, if you are looking to stay in central and quality places, visit the most important monuments, and travel without worries the costs will be similar but with the security of an agency.

In addition, in group trips the price is usually much cheaper than organizing it alone.
    7
  • Gastronomic experience

Traveling without discovering the local gastronomy is not traveling. One of the first things people ask when we return from a trip is "how is it eating there?"

During our trip we not only recommend the typical Russian dishes to try, but we also take you to the best restaurants so that your gastronomic experience is top and so that you don't waste your time looking for where to eat.

    8
  • Support with visa and other papers
We help you with the information to make the visa (if you need it). We also take care of registration in Russia - a role that all foreigners who are in the country for more than a week have to get.
